London, UK – April 15, 2025
Twickenham Film Studios, a historic landmark in British cinema, is set to unveil one of the United Kingdom’s most expansive virtual production stages by the end of June 2025. This ambitious project is a collaboration between Twickenham Film Studios, Samsung Electronics, and virtual production specialists Quite Brilliant.

Cutting-Edge Virtual Production Facility

The forthcoming facility will feature a 24-meter-wide by 4.5-meter-high LED back wall, complemented by a 105-square-meter LED ceiling. Additional elements include mobile LED totem walls, a permanent turntable, and a motion control crane.

The LED wall utilises Samsung’s IVC 2.1 pixel pitch technology, integrated with ARRI’s color calibration management system, and will be synchronised with real-time visual effects technology to deliver immersive and high-quality virtual environments.
Strategic Industry Collaboration

This initiative marks Samsung’s first major LED screen installation in the UK and its third globally. By partnering with Twickenham Film Studios and Quite Brilliant, Samsung aims to advance virtual production capabilities within the UK film industry. The integration of cutting-edge technology with Twickenham’s storied legacy is expected to attract a wide range of productions seeking innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Enhancing Creative and Sustainable Production
The new virtual production stage is designed to offer filmmakers a versatile and efficient alternative to traditional on-location shooting. By enabling real-time rendering of complex environments, the facility aims to reduce production costs and environmental impact.

This development is anticipated to position Twickenham Film Studios as a leading hub for virtual production in the UK and Europe.
