From Darkness to Dazzle: Sony Redefines the Art of Virtual Production

Sony showed off its new Crystal LED Verona Gen 3 at ISE 2025 in Barcelona on January 28, 2025. And it’s already making a big impact in the virtual production world.
The Verona Gen 3 comes with a premium price (exact numbers are still unknown) and is now available through Sony’s professional division. It has been shipping to studios since February 2025 — and it’s already breaking records with its incredible brightness and 3D performance.

Tech That Shines

The Verona Gen 3 offers 2,500 nits of brightness, which is 50% brighter than the earlier version. With a 1.58mm pixel pitch, it creates sharp, bright, and realistic 3D environments using new mini-LED panels.

It also has an anti-glare coating and deep-black technology to boost contrast. It connects easily with Unreal Engine using Sony’s Virtual Production Tool Set.
This screen is strong, modular, and cuts down post-production work. It’s made for big, demanding shoots.

“CLEV3 pushes virtual production into new realms of realism and efficiency.”
